It's not what you ride, it's that you ride.

  Apologies for my little outburst yesterday. I'm sure chopper riders are nice people really but that's not what I wanted talk about today, it's christmas! You'll probably be aware that the kids are in their starting blocks ready to sprint enthusiastically back to school, which means we're only a nanosecond away from the supermarkets unveiling their christmas offerings. Bastards!

  As a slight compensation for their egregious behaviour, I thought I'd mention again that I'm running a competition that should fill you with joy. Can you be the first person to send me a picture of this years earliest christmas promo of any description? For extra fun, let me know the store and location and as a special bonus I'll post a recording of me ringing up their customer service dept and letting them know what I think.

Didn't he do well?

  Halloween is only, ('only' Ha!), two months away so I wasn't totally shocked when I saw a shop with a halloween promo the other day, but I was impressed they had put it up even before the new school year had started.

  Keeping me off the streets so far this week has been the long overdue revisiting of my website. A very lovely friend cast her skilled, professional eye over my novice attempt and suggested a few subtle changes that I've been able to incorporate. It's still by no means finished but at least there's some movement towards improvement.

​​​​​​​  Tomorrow's joy includes the wanton hacking of a massive pile of vegetables as I delve once again into the world of ferments. I've run out of kimchi so I'm going to get chopping. Come back tomorrow where I may even encourage you to give it a go.
