It doesn't take much imagination to see the picture without joining the dots. Clearly the mail and their IQ minus readership don't have much imagination because a recent front page was decorated thus...
I'm expecting future headlines to announce shock news such as, 'sun found responsible for sunburn' and ''water discovered to be cause of drowning', but I'll not be holding my breath.
It was a strange coincidence then that the picture was taken in a sports centre, where, as I was leaving I spotted the gentleman manning the desk at the entrance setting a very interesting example. Have a close look...
You probably spotted the packet of chocolate digestives next to his knee which seemed to serve as his breakfast. What made the scene particularly entertaining was that instead of sneaking the odd nibble inbetween customers or snapping off a little bit to pop surreptitiously into his mouth, his method of consumption was to hastily cram a whole one straight in and act normal. Genius.
Commenting further on the lack of awareness around the connection between food health is pointless so I'm not going to bother. Instead I'm going to practice sighing deeply, rolling my eyes and shaking my head in disbelief.
