Burning the candle

If I'm not careful I'm going to wear myself out very quickly as I seem to be flat out at the moment, but what the fuck do you care? (That's a rhetorical question so don't be writing in.) Below are some shelves I knocked up using my newly learnt welding skills but, like I asked a moment ago, what the fuck do you care?

Let's talk veg for a moment. As I'm frazzled this is going to be a quickie but I figure we've know each other long enough so this won't be a problem, you've probably got things to do anyway.

Not bad for a beginner.
Actually, all I was going to suggest is applying heat in a different way than usual. The best example is roasting stuff. Though you might think spuds are the only veg worth roasting, consider that once tossed in a bit of olive oil and sprinkled with a pinch of salt, almost any veg are transformed for the better.

The best example I've got is broccoli. The delicate parts crisp up spectacularly and it's a shit load easier than steaming them, as well as being much tastier. If you're feeling a bit healthy but need inspiration you can even oil up some kale and chuck it in the oven. The kids might even eat it too cos it comes out like crisps! Remove the stalks first though.

How about that? I managed to waffle enough to make a small suggestion last a whole post. Now I'm off to put on some supper, and that basically involves firing up my oven while I do some ironing. What could be easier? (That's another rhetorical question so don't bother writing in.)
