At it again
If you tuned in yesterday, you'll have heard about the roast chicken dinner that I came home to find being prepared. Very delicious it was too and as I've said not only recently but on numerous other occasions, the added bonus of a whole roasted chicken is the associated stock option.
Once again I got out my stock pot and filled it with the carcass and a huge mound of vegetables. It's simmering gently as I type diligently away in my writing room, (imagine somewhere oak lined with endless shelves of books and a roaring fire). (Where he writes is nothing like that. -Ed.). I'll once again suggest you follow my lead and make the effort to make stock. It may seem like a ball ache but I'll do it at every opportunity so it has to be worth it.
Stock! Coming soon to your kitchen
Moving on to your reading homework from yesterday. A little bird told me you brushed off that little assignment like you would brush off a nagging child asking you for a loaded gun. Unfortunately, you got caught out so it looks like a little reminder is necessary. I'm not fucking about here, it'll take you just a few minutes and if I didn't think it was important, I wouldn't have mentioned it two days in a row. Here's a quote to give you a glimpse into the article's content.
'Professor Carlos Monteiro from the University of Sao Paulo in Brazil, who led the research team, told the Guardian of his deep concern about the links between ultra-processed food with obesity and poor health.
Ultra-processed foods may look attractive and are designed with sweet or salty tastes that make us want more. But there is nothing nutritious about them, Monteiro said.'

and make sure you've read it before tomorrow night. You will be tested!
