The force is strong...
This morning I had an early start to help my teacher at his school. I returned to find that in my absence, the management had gone shopping and cooked a roast chicken dinner. I walked in to find not only the finishing touches being applied, but also the reason for all the effort; she had invited a friend over for lunch.
As overjoyed as I was to find I had been cooked for, I knew the effort had not been made for my benefit, I was merely an extra place at the table. There was some consolation though as I could see that despite appearing to take no notice of all my activity in the kitchen, I recognised a lot of techniques and moves that she had surreptitiously picked up. I'm still swollen with pride.
Now, however, the blog is going to take a more serious tone. As a reader of these transmissions, I don't need to tell you that, 'I told you so', but I do need you to read this article from today's Guardian. I urge you to take the time to do so as, though the content will come as no surprise, it will serve as a useful reminder and possibly even help in those moments of weakness.
You have your orders. Do it now. And spread the word.
