Playtime

  Been a long day so it's time for another quickie. Food first. As I made fish pie yesterday, and as I take my own advice, I'd made a huge one, which means that tonight's supper (and for the next few days) there was (and will be) fish pie.

​​​​​​​  Today was long because I was in the metal shop being massively productive. The first thing was to complete the thingy below. My biggest realisation of the week is that the smaller the object, the harder it is to work on. That's why this thingy took me so long. But it's done now. Happy.

  

I'm on to the next part of the gizmo which is proving a lot quicker to produce. Lots of progress has been made today and I reckon it'll be finished tomorrow. There are no pictures yet but here's a glimpse of what I've temporarily swapped my kitchen for.

  As you have probably worked out by now, I love creating things with my hands. Spending days doing that and learning a new skill at the same fills me with more joy than I know what to do with so I'm in heaven right now. The only problem is that there's no heating in the workshop so I'm bloody freezing for most of the day, but it's all worth it. Come back tomorrow when I'll hopefully have a picture or two of the finished gizmo.
