My day in pictures

I must have been a professional kitten torturer in a previous life because for no apparent reason I woke up at bloody five am. Wanting to put the day to good use, I got up and realised the best use of my time would be to spend it icing a cake. It worked out perfectly because it would have loads of time to set. When it was all done, I tidied up and saddled up in time for my first rendezvous.
Six sodding thirty this morning
Box hill is a magnet for us biker types and a sunny Sunday such as this was going to be a guaranteed circus. But not at seven thirty in the morning. I arrived moments after the first of the troupe and we set off to find the third, about forty miles away on the coast. At that time of day the roads are empty so we made good time and, I dare say, enjoyed ourselves in the process. We found number three at home pulling his pride and joy out of the garage and in no time were all in the saddle again heading for, you guessed it, Box hill.
Yum yum
As you can see below it was a bit fuller when we returned and number four was waiting for us. After hearty hugs it was off to the counter to get the teas in but just as we were about to wonder off, number five showed up. With all of us present and teas procured, the important task of talking bollocks in the glorious sunshine, surrounded with huge numbers of the extended clan could start.
Awash with bikes
Once all important topics had been covered, it was time for the return trip and preparations for the delivery of the cake. As you know, the cake had been left to set so all I had to do was carry it over to the hungry hoards on London fields. As soon as I arrived, the vultures descended so candles were hastily placed and blown out so the slices could be handed out and devoured. Happy nephews and friends all round. Result!
Suitably impressed
Because of the early start, it's already way past my bedtime, and when I wake up tomorrow, I'll be back in the world of low carbs and lots of fat. But let's save that for another day.
