Hey! I just cleaned that.

No sooner than I have returned from my jaunt to Germany, cleaned and adjusted my two wheeled weapon and returned her to the cosy life in London, did I start to feel the itch again. This morning I was busy with other things but in the afternoon she was unleashed to stretch her legs a bit.

Just before the long weekend abroad, I had let some clever gentlemen work their magic on her suspension and engine and while away, I certainly got to enjoy the transformation and fell even more under her spell. That as much raving about her virtues for now as I realise it means more to me than to you, but you get the idea. However, today revealed something new.
It must be love*
One of the other riders in my posse lives a pleasant one hundred and thirty mile round trip away. Far enough for a bit of fun, close enough to be manageable in an afternoon. Off I went. Living in central London means the first fifteen miles is pretty dull but the rest of the route just keeps getting better. As you can tell, it's a familiar route and that gave me a unique opportunity.

This was the first time I would be riding this route on the bike since her tuning and tweaking so I was able to make a direct comparison. It may have well been a different bike. In short, if you enjoy burning petrol and rubber for fun, I strongly recommend you seriously consider the benefits of spending a bit of money on your favourite toy. Every penny will be well spent.

In a few weeks another of the posse is having a birthday and the celebrations will be at the house I visited today. As I'll be bringing a passenger the ride will be a little more sedate, especially as there will be a cake on board. A request has been made for me to bring the (chocolate) birthday cake, so this should be interesting.

Kirk out

*About as pointless as tuning a milk float. But he did it anyway.
