Daily transmission, number 1137.

You've heard the story before; up at five, ride thirty five miles to work and thirty five back. Collapse on the sofa for a little feet up time then off to the supermarket for ingredients before returning home again and throwing together a bit of supper, cleaning up, brushing teeth and going to bed.

Eat, shit, sleep, repeat. But before you settle in for what could, on first impressions, be all about the discipline of making proper food instead of getting a snack from a petrol station on the way home or a delivery once you get there, it's time for a little twist.
A little something I threw together.
As important as proper food is for all the reasons I've shouted myself horse about in this blog, this is about something else. It's about the realisation that on top of all those things, I also add to my list of daily activities one more thing. Have you guessed what it could be yet?

To say it's right before your eyes is an understatement because you've been reading it for the last couple of minutes. I know there are times I make a bit of a song and dance about writing this when I hit some numerical milestone but otherwise it's just a part of my daily routine like cleaning my teeth .

What's different about today that I should be writing about this? No idea. While thinking about what to write, it just occurred to me that while I encourage you to find the joy that comes from the cooking in your daily routine, I've managed to do the same but with writing. Maybe you can take comfort from the idea that though you may not feel like you have the energy and inspiration to cook a lot of the time, at least you don't have to find the energy and inspiration to write as well.
Tomorrow, something.

Kirk not out of ideas.
