Marking time

It was so nice to hear from long time listener and first time caller, Cosmo, who very kindly got in touch to point out that last night's post wasn't much more than a holding page. It wasn't clear if his communication was a complaint, a request or an observation or maybe just a cry for attention, but whatever the reason was, thanks for the communication Cosmo, it was lovely to hear from you.

If anybody else wants to get in touch, please don't be shy and if you're looking for an excuse then please don't forget that now the kids are heading back to school, the prize for the first spotting of Christmas shite in the shops is up for grabs. Don't let me be the winner again. As a warning, someone had posted a picture on twitter in mid August but as I couldn't verify it, the prize is still available.

Last weekend's roadside nosh.
Tomorrow is a busy one as there's going to be seven mouths to feed at lunchtime. The management has a lot of family in town the sleeves are going to get rolled up early with a big feast planned. The summer pudding is already made and setting in the fridge which means that the main course is merely an obstacle to be negotiated before the main event.

If you're thinking that this will leave the afternoon for idly tapping out a detailed report of the delicious spread, you may be disappointed. The man I've known for the longest time is turning fifty so as soon as lunch has been digested, it's off to the pub where the celebrations are planned. Hmmm... somewhere between lunch and pub it will be necessary to be sensible otherwise tomorrow's blog may not get written.

Oh, no! I've run out of space. The plan had been to tell you all about flavours but the page is full already. Who knows, this may elicit another response from a certain member of the readership who feels the need to feel heard. See you tomorrow.
